As I was browsing an old blog I stumbled upon this text I wrote in late 2009. It was part of an email to a friend who was about to operate a deep sea ROV. The mr. is a humpback whale with a story of its own.

My robot does my research.
Down in the deep blue sea.
He's doing this, my ROV,
for curiosity.
My robot does my research.
Deep in a sub sea cave.
Looking for anomalies,
of climate shift and waves.
His range is very limited,
always tethered to a ship.
He wished he could be free,
like Mr. Splashy P.
